Flicktote

Support

Flicktote works with Emby Server 4.8 or newer. Below are answers to the most common questions. For anything else, email support@flicktote.app.

Flicktote can't connect to my server

Type the same address you use for Emby in a web browser, including the port, for example http://192.168.1.10:8096. If you leave the port out, Flicktote tries Emby's usual ports. On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network access when asked, or turn it on in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network. Away from home, your server needs an address that works from outside your network.

Downloads are turned off for my account

Your server's administrator decides who can download. In the Emby dashboard, open Users, choose your user and allow media downloading. To have the server convert videos to smaller files, the server also needs Emby Premiere and permission for conversion. Without it, Flicktote downloads the original files.

How many downloads are free?

The free version keeps up to 3 downloads on your device at a time. Delete one you have watched to make room for another. Flicktote Unlimited is a one-time purchase that removes the limit. On servers with Emby Premiere it also lets you download whole seasons and series and have new episodes download on their own.

I bought Flicktote Unlimited on another device

Open Settings > Flicktote Unlimited > Unlock and tap Restore purchase while signed in to the same Apple Account.

Where are my downloaded files?

Open the Files app and go to On My iPhone > Flicktote. You can play them in Flicktote or open them in another player such as VLC or Infuse.

A download stopped with an error

Tap Retry on the Downloads tab. If it keeps failing, check that the device has free space and can still reach your server.
